Manage your shipments using "My Shipments"
On the My Safmarine you'll find, at a glance, an overview of all your current, future and past shipments.
Finding a particular shipment
The fastest way to find a shipment is to browse the my shipment overview. The "All" tab provides the complete overview, but you can change your view to show shipments with pending documentation tasks.
It is also possible to search for a specific shipment.
Focus on what is relevant to you
We have provided a wide range of filters to support your needs. By using the filters you can limit the overview to show only what is relevant to you. You can even save your customized filter setting for easy switching between customized views.
This view displays your shipments with pending tasks related to the documentation process.
A set of filters enable you to focus on a specific task and makes it easy for you to see if there is something you need to do.

Every detail of a shipment located in a single place!
Each shipment in 'My Shipments' links to a digital binder where you will find all the relevant shipment details including booking and documentation details, container information, transport plan, price information, and links to related documents.
The shipment binder also contains all relevant actions related to the shipment lifecycle. E.g. the binder will help you complete the documentation process.

We have improved the way you make a booking in a number of ways.
Re-use the information from an existing shipment and save time
"Duplicate existing shipment" will display a list of your most recent shipments with a duplication-option. An origin, destination and consignee filter makes it easy to limit the list and find the right shipment to duplicate.
Duplicating will copy all the shipment details in to a new booking request, where you will be able to edit the details before submitting.
This feature will save time if you often ship the same cargo to the same destinations. And when you are ready to submit the shipping instruction, all details from the Bill of Lading of the duplicated shipment will be copied including the payment terms. This will both save time and improve the correctness of the final document and invoice. You will be able to edit the details before submitting if needed.
...or book a new shipment from scratch
Even if you don't copy the details from a previous shipment we have improved the booking-feature by introducing a clean design with fewer – and more intelligent – options. Only 5 fields are required to be updated before you can submit the booking.
E.g. the 'From' and 'To' fields remember previously used locations and provide suggestions as you type. All other fields adjust according to the number of containers you book, and any special conditions you may choose.
Why ask for information we know?
We have designed the booking feature to provide you with clear options. Tell us where you need the cargo and we will show you the available schedules for that route and whether a location can be served as Merchant Haulage (Container Yard) or Carrier Haulage (Store Door).
We have included a simple price overview which show the shipment total price as well as the origin, freight, and destination charges. Furthermore, the price overview will display whether the price is based on a service contract or on tariff.
You can also access a detailed price breakdown which gives you a complete overview of rates, surcharges, local currencies, and exchange rates at the time of booking. Please contact your local office if you have any questions or add an additional comment referencing your rate and we can review before sending the invoice.
Submitting a Shipping Instruction and printing the Bill of Lading
Fill in shipping instructions using our simple 5-step wizard. If the Duplicate Shipment feature was used during the booking creation, you will find that details are already updated, but may be edited. By detailed information about the payment terms, you can be assured that the invoice will go to the right party. Preview your bill of lading to ensure everything is correct before submitting. Access, approve or amend your verify copy online and print your bill of lading.
Save time when specifying multiple cargo details and piece count
Specifying cargo details for multiple containers can be time consuming - especially if they contain the same cargo and/or piece count. That's why we have optimized the second step of the wizard: Cargo Details. Here you can specify your cargo description, weight, volume, kind and number of packages and easily select whether details to be applied for all containers and this will automatically be copied to all containers.
For the piece count (number and kind of packages, weight etc.) you can also download information from your computer. Please see special instructions for this feature. This way you don't have to retype everything, just modify the relevant fields, e.g., weight and volume
Adding parties to the shipment and avoid spelling surprises
A lot of our customers do business with the same parties, so the form automatically suggests one of your recently used parties.
Furthermore, you can review the details exactly as they will be written on your bill of lading. If you discover something is incorrect, you can fix it before submitting your shipping instructions.
Who is paying for what?
When specifying payment details for the shipment you will see a detailed breakdown of all the charges related to the shipment. The charges have been grouped into Origin, Freight and Destination for your convenience.
You can assign a party to pay for all charges related to a group (and save time by not specifying line by line). However, you have the option to specify payment details per charge. Either way you have full visibility of who is going to pay for what - and at what terms. Please contact your local office if you have any questions or add an additional comment referencing your rate and we can review before sending the invoice.
Preview final document to ensure you made no mistakes
When you have entered all the information, you can see a preview of your bill of lading to check if everything is entered correctly. The preview can be printed and the shipping instruction details can be saved for later submission. This will enable you to double check the input before being submitted - and ensure no amendments are required.
Use 'My Shipments' to keep track of your documentation process
Use the Documentation overview in 'My Shipments' to keep track of any pending tasks related to the documentation process. Here you can easily access shipments where you need to submit shipping instructions, shipments awaiting the approval of the verify copy, and shipments with bill of lading ready for print.

Finding a particular shipment
The fastest way to find and track a shipment is to use "Track Shipment" where shipment number, transport document number or container number can be entered to access the shipment information.
Shipment Binder Overview tab
This view displays your shipment`s transport plan at a glance. Here you can easily see if your shipment is on track and the last move with the current location.
If the shipment is delayed then original transport plan and current transport plan will be displayed here as well.
Shipment Binder Containers tab
This view displays your shipment`s transport plan in details with the past moves, actual move and future moves for each container. Icons will indicate the transportation mode against the locations displayed.
If the shipment is delayed then original transport plan and current transport plan will be displayed here.
This view also will display the details for each container such as the commodity, weight, haulage type and cargo type.
If any of the containers will not follow the original transport plan, then specific transport plan details may be found in this view.

Look up schedules with ease.
We have introduced the schedules lookup feature with a clean design, for example the 'From' and 'To' fields, vessel selection and port selection will provide suggestions as you type.
